Programme for Saturday 1st June 2019
10-11am- Judging of the High Street Window Competition- “One small step…” The 50th anniversary of the Moon landings .
The Fancy Dress entrants and Floats will assemble in Littleworth from 1.30pm onwards.
1pm-2.30pm– The Blaast de Bazuin brass band from the Netherlands will play in the square followed by Maypole and Country dancing.
1.45 pm – Judging of the Fancy Dress at Littleworth. All entrants are invited to join the procession to the Square.
2.30 pm – Procession from Littleworth to the Square headed by Bretforton Silver Band. The Campden Morris Dancers will draw the cart bearing the Queen-elect and Attendants.
3.00 pm – The new Queen is crowned by the retiring Queen. There follows the prize-giving by the Queen. Children from St Catharine’s will perform country dances and the Maypole will be danced by the children from St James’. After that the Campden Morris Men will perform. After the dancing, the band leads the parade to the Almshouses, where the Queen and her attendants dismount.
3.30-7.30pm- Entertainment in the high Street outside Toke’s Deli and the Lygon Arms. Including:
Music from Xola, Toke’s street food and Brotherhood brewery The McCarthy Felton Irish Dancers Plus more music from Generation Jones and Fallow Man Lygon Arms Ice cream
Traditional Fairground open in Leysbourne until Midnight.
