Scuttlebrook Wake Update
We are pleased to say that planning is well underway for Scuttlebrook Wake on June 3rd. We are very excited to announce that this year will see the return of Scuttlefest, our live mini-music festival, which will take place in the afternoon on the high street. Over the coming months more details will be publicised about this and the other elements of the day, but in the meantime here are two updates.
Queen’s Party 2023
We had a very successful party on Friday 10th of February to select our new Queen, attendants and page for this year. The Lygon Arms kindly hosted us once again and we had a strong turnout from many families who came to support the event and enjoy the music, bar and children’s party games. We are pleased to announce that this year’s successful entrants were:
- Scuttlebrook Queen 2023: Ruby Blue Mattacks
- Attendants: Ella Bow, Daisy Sabin, Milly Postins and Isabella Satchwell
- Page boy: Tom Digweed
Fancy Dress and Floats
Although it is still 3 months away, we want to take every opportunity to encourage all in the community to start thinking about entering the fancy dress and float competitions. Having a variety of entries really makes a big difference to the success of the day, and to the enjoyment of spectators and participants alike. Here are some reasons to take part:
- Advertise your business or promote an organisation
- Be part of a community event with friends and family
- Help to celebrate the fine old Campden tradition that is Scuttlebrook Wake
- Let your imaginations run wild with no theme to restrict you!
- Prizes to be won including cups and cash
Why not start planning your entry and persuading your family and friends to join you on June the 3rd?
